Disciples Women Bake Sale

We Need Your Help!! On February 25th the Disciples Women will be having a bake sale in conjunction with the Independence Ruritan Club Stew Sale. Your help is needed to make this Bake Sale a success. Please bring your baked goods to the Community House Saturday morning (February 25th) by 9:30 am. Proceeds from this sale help finance our charitable endeavors.

175th Anniversary Theme and Ideas are Needed

The planning committee for our 175th Anniversary is looking forward to a great year and we need your help to get started! We need a general theme to describe that we are thankful for our past and excited about the future. We also want to know if you have any ideas to celebrate the anniversary in the upcoming year. It can be something to recognize what we have done in previous years or an activity that focuses on the years ahead. Then drop your ideas in the box by the kitchen.

YOUTH STUDY HALL: Every Tuesday 5:30-7:00

The Upper and Elementary Youth will meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month.

CULTIVATING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE WITH BLESSING BOXES:

Daily deposit of coins in your Blessing Box to signify the daily blessings in your life using the monthly Cultivating an Attitude Calendar page from your church newsletter.  Collection of your Blessing Box contents on the last Sunday of each month in 2011.

Currently A.C.E.S. needs:

Men's and women's underwear and socks
Women's winter sleepwear

Children's pajamas
Children's winter coats - sizes 4-5 up to 18
Children's underwear and socks
Diapers - sizes 3 and up

Shampoo
Canned meats

Sheets and blankets - all sizes
Towels and washcloths

Campbells Soup Labels for Education:

The Disciples Women are collecting labels from Campbell's products for area elementary schools.  Please save the labels and bring them to church and put them in the "Soup Can" across from the kitchen window.  Thanks for your help with this project.

BedsforKids.us:

Richmond based charity “Beds For Kids” is looking for used cribs, single and double beds, and mattresses that could be used by children in the area who are in need of beds.  If you have one you would like to donate to this cause, please contact one of the following to arrange pick up—they will be happy to come and get your donation.  Thanks!
