YOUTH SERVICE PROJECT: The youth of Independence have chosen as their service project to prepare Church World Service School Kits. The list of needed supplies can be found posted around the church and in the newsletter. This is an ongoing project. Donated items may be placed in the box, located in the hall by the kitchen.
**In conjunction with the Youth Service Project, the CWF will be making tote bags for the school supplies. Fabric was donated for the bags and is available here at church. If you would like to help out by making tote bags see Nancy Wright for fabric.
SPECIAL REQUEST: Would you like to help a seminary student? Kevin Keane is married to Brittany (Roberts) Keane and is entering the ministry this semester. He is seeking support for his tuition from several churches in the area and has asked us for $250. Surely this is a goal we can meet! Seminary is a difficult but rewarding journey and our support would help Kevin financially. It would also let him know that the love of Christ extends from our hearts and goes beyond the walls of this church. If you can help, please put "Seminary student" or "Kevin Keane" in the memo line of the check.

Currently A.C.E.S. needs: canned meats, peanut butter, pasta and canned/jarred sauce.
ITEMS NEEDED TO SEND TO OUR DEPLOYED TROOPS: The Outreach Ministry Commission is collecting items to be sent to our deployed troops. Please see the box decorated with the colors of the American flag across from the kitchen window. There are copies of the list of items they can use...feel free to take one! We will send boxes as we can fill them! Thanks so much for your support!
The Upper and Elementary Youth will meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
